Summer is almost here, and unfortunately, it can be a difficult time for your plumbing.
There are so many wonderful things about summer! Not only are you able to get outside more, but it’s also the perfect time of the year for trips to the ballpark, mouth-watering barbecues and family vacations. Unfortunately, your plumbing system probably doesn’t feel the same way about summer as you do, and that’s because it can be a difficult time for your plumbing. In our last blog, our Belleville plumber went over several plumbing maintenance tips for your summer. Keep reading to learn more:
#3. Use less toilet paper and avoid wet wipes.
Are your kids home for the summer? If so, the increase in toilet use may lead to more clogs than you are used to. One way to avoid toilet clogs is to use less toilet paper (and teach your kids to use less). You should also avoid using wet wipes at all costs. Even if the packaging claims that they are flushable, they could do some serious damage to your plumbing system.
#4. Check for leaks.
Although we love to admire our beautiful, green lawns, it takes a whole lot of water to keep them so green and beautiful. When you are already seeing a spike in your water bill, the last thing that you want is to waste even more water on something as simple as a leak! Regularly check your pipes and fixtures for leaks.
We have just a couple more tips for you, so stay tuned to learn more!
