Culler Plumbing Services has been Collinsville’s go-to plumbing company for more than 25 years, so it should come as no surprise that we have taken some odd calls. Some calls are from people who weren’t sure if we could help or not, but wanted to check. Luckily for most of our callers, here at Culler Plumbing Services, we do so much more than simple plumbing repairs and inspection. In fact, we have 16 separate service pages that do a great job of highlighting the majority of the things we do — check them out here. If it has to do with either water or pipes, chances are, we specialize in it!

For today’s post, our Collinsville plumber is going to tell a few tales of the plumbing woes that have struck Collinsville families that we helped remedy. While this may serve to some as a showcase of our diverse abilities, we are hoping that it shows more Collinsville residents that if ever you find yourself thinking can my plumber help?” if we are your plumber, the answer is probably yes! You bet. As you may imagine, sewer backups aren’t our favorite calls to get, but the plumbing team at Culler Plumbing is well equipped and skilled enough to handle all of your sewage woes. The biggest thing we can provide to this situation, aside from our 24-hour plumbing abilities, is the fact that we can clean and repair your sewer or septic tank to ensure it doesn’t back up again. We use sewer camera inspections and can perform emergency evacuations if need be. Don’t hesitate to call us if you notice your sewer acting up, we can prevent sewage flooding your basement before it happens!

”During heavy rainstorms, my basement floods. Can you help?”

Most certainly. If you have problems with your sump pump not removing water from your basement, it may need a simple repair, or you may need a new one. In either case, our local plumber can handle all of your sump pump troubles. We can take a look and see if there are other things that should be done, including gutter cleaning.

”We were out of town when the temperature dropped, freezing all the water in our pipes, causing a few to burst. When we came home, our house was in 6 inches of water and rising. Can you help?”

Oh, boy, can we! Burst and broken pipes are our forte. But, before you call us, if you haven’t already, go cut the main water supply to your home! We use a variety of techniques to fix your broken or burst pipes, depending on where in your plumbing system they are located. We come with fully stocked plumbing trucks and there is no leak too big or too small for us to handle. And, we can even help prevent future freeze problems!

”I smell gas. Can you help?”

Yes! Yes, we can. Not many people are aware that your Collinsville plumbers can handle almost everything to do with gas and natural gas lines. We can conduct an inspection of your natural gas lines and identify any problems. Once we identify the source of the smell, we can make the necessary repairs or parts replacements. We urge you, however, to not use your stove, heater, or create an open flame in your home until you contact us. And, if you can smell it, cut the gas to your home and consider evacuating your family.
