Don’t let your plumbing get you down this summer!
When most people think of summer, they think of beaches, barbecues and baseball, but what they don’t often think of are the plumbing issues that are common during summer. The summer puts a great deal of added stress on your plumbing system, and that’s why, in our last post, our emergency plumber in Belleville went over several summer maintenance tips for your plumbing system. Today, we will be finishing up this blog series with these last couple of tips:
#5. Hire a plumber to inspect your sewer lines.
Roots from nearby trees tend to be attracted to sewer lines because they are a source of nutrition for them. Unfortunately, this root growth can lead to cracks in your sewer line, which can cause sewer back-ups during summer rainstorms. A plumber will be able to spot the damage and give you advice on how to repair it.
#6. Keep an eye out on your sprinkler system.
You rely on your sprinkler system to keep your lawn green and beautiful, but if you want to it stay in good shape, you need to keep an eye out on it. Regularly check your sprinkler system for clogs, leaks and broken sprinkler heads. It’s also a good idea to make sure that your sprinkler heads are all pointing the right way so that you don’t end up watering the sidewalk and your driveway instead of your lawn.
